Panthers Claim EOSSAA Title

The RND Boys hockey team continued it's memorable season with a convincing win at the AA EOSSAA tournament in Arnprior.  The Panthers actually got off to a slow start in the tournament with a game against the Mackenzie Mustangs from Renfrew.  The Mustangs gave the Panthers all they could handle as the game needed to go to overtime to be decided. In the extra frame, Wyatt Gregory found Captain Thomas Elkins in the slot on a 3-1 break and the Panthers claimed victory in exciting fashion.  Regi just got better from there. They dispatched St. Joe's of Cornwall in the second round robin game and earned a trip to the final against the L'Escale Cougars of Rockland.  The Cougars provided a good challenge for the Panthers, but they were ultimately not able to repel the relentless Regi attack.  The Panthers won the game, and the EOSSAA title 4-2.  Regi will no move on to the OFSAA championship, which starts on March 21st in St. Catherine's.
